In the Cognition and Brain Lab we conduct many studies and are in need of subjects for all of them. In our studies we may either ask you to do a one hour computer or pencil and paper session, or a 2-3 hour session with an electrocap. This is a non-invasive procedure we use to look at participants’ brain waves as they complete a memory or language related task.
Young Adults:
We are always in need of young adults (between the ages of 18-30) for several of our studies. We require that you be right-handed and a native English speaker in order to qualify.
If you would like to participate in our research, you can sign up for any Cognition and Brain Lab studies listed on either of the Subject Pool websites. During the school year, we run most of our studies for class credit via the Psychology Course Credit Subject Pool. During school breaks, we run most of our studies for compensation through the Psychology Paid Subject Pool.
Older Adults:
We are also in need of healthy older adults (ages 60+) for our research. You must be right-handed and a native English speaker. We offer pay by the hour for anyone willing to come in and help us.
If you are interested in signing up for any of these studies or have any other questions, please fill out this recruitment form. If you are already signed up for a study and need help locating the lab, please see our maps.
